The objective of E Thompson & Son Electrical Contractors overall policy with regard to corporate social responsibility matters is to provide a reference point to guide stakeholders, including all employees, on the guiding principles of how we operate. We are committed to ensuring that our business is conducted in all respects according to rigorous ethical, professional and legal standards.
Community
We are committed to being a responsible corporate citizen through support for appropriate non-political and non-sectarian projects, organisations and charities. We play an active role in area regeneration and employ mainly from the local communities both near to our base in Preston and in areas local to our projects. In 2010/11 we have supported the following:-
- Firewalk completed by one of our team for UCLAN Bursary Fund and Galloways Society for the Blind in January 2011.
- One World Week at Cardinal Newman College environmental awareness week.
- Christmas staff raffles for local charities.
- Regular support to our chosen charity Diabetes UK.
- Due to sponsor new football strips for colts team of Longsands Lynx Community Football team.
- Supported Charity Alternative Race Night and Auction for St Columba's Hospice in March 2011.
