Founded by Ernest Edward Thompson in 1945, the operation has grown steadily in status and reputation over a 65 year span. Alan Thompson took the Company to new levels of success during his long tenure. In this time the Company won the prestigious Electrical Contractor of the Year Award and Alan was elected President of the ECA. The Company is now run by a third generation of the family, Stuart Thompson. The Company has gone from strength to strength in recent years under Stuart’s direction maintaining a keen interest in new technology and innovations whilst upholding the same values of quality of service delivery.

Thompson carry out virtually every aspect of electrical installation, engineering and service work, extending through the Public, Commercial and Retail Sectors.

Investing heavily in training with a long established Apprenticeship development programme and ongoing career development this together with continued monitoring of standards and progress all set Thompson apart. The efforts of its site engineers, and the back at base project support teams, are all focused towards achieving the satisfaction of its clients.
