Thompson Building Services Engineers have been appointed to the new Dynamic Purchasing System from Crescent Purchasing Consortium.

We were successful in the three lots we applied for: Electrical and Lighting, Plumbing and Drains and Renewables.

The CPC work with a number of clients including a large contingent of Educational Establishments to provide a compliant route to market and pre-vetting all suppliers.  Thompson are pleased to have demonstrated the required standards and experience to become an approved supplier.

A Dynamic Purchasing System (or DPS for short) is a procurement tool for works, services and goods. The DPS is for the procurement of capital works projects to buildings and estates. The DPS has been broken down into a number of distinct categories to enable users to engage the services of suitably qualified and experienced contractors.

For clients looking for a compliant route to market the DPS provides the following benefits:

• CPC will do the necessary due diligence on your local contractor, e.g. financial stability checks, health and safety record and process checks, environmental management checks, quality management checks, reducing the risk of this not being done or saving the you time in having to carry out this due diligence.
• Encourages competition enabling you to demonstrate value for money
• The DPS has been broken down into a number of different categories enabling clients to procure a wide array of specialist trades and works.
• All further competitions are undertaken using the Multiquote tendering platform to ensure all procurement processes are fully auditable
