“The College cannot commend the Thompsons team enough for the approach, attitude and quality of work that has been undertaken over the last couple of months. The biggest positives that jump out to me were;

• Communication – James & Kal attended daily meetings on site, providing succinct daily updates to the wider team. The also touched base with James & myself prior to the meetings so we knew what we were walking into. Weekend updates were also provided.
• Consideration for the wider College operation – we constantly planned what areas could be accessed and when owing to College lessons/exams/office working and the team took this in their stride. It would have been easy to become frustrated with how limited access was at times, but the team always looked to what they could do and when.
• Flexibility of labour – we will never ‘cry wolf’, but this really was an all hands on deck scenario. We were extremely impressed at the amount of labour that was dedicated to the job, and at short notice. This also linked to the above point on access – labour increased significantly at certain points, then tailed off when access was more limited. Early morning, late nights, weekends – nothing was a problem. Equally there were points where we had lined up labour for a morning (assuming equipment would be ready for install) and had to cancel at short notice the day before – while not ideal, James & Kal were accommodating at every point.
• Approach on site – while James & Kal lead by example, the whole team were a credit to the company when on site – always polite, personable, well presented, said good morning… Simple things like being aware of where ladders were left and cleaning up after themselves.
