Following Debenhams new design concept brief to create an “iconic” flagship store, Thompson undertook the design for the new lighting and electrical installation throughout the 370,000 square foot store.

The major internal refit extends throughout all five levels and allows for a significant proportion of the fifth floor to be converted into trading space. The store remained trading through the phased work which brought its own challenges to the project. An evolving design concept throughout the programme meant that the project team worked in harmony with the Main Contractor to deliver a high specification finish to the clients requirements accommodating the changes and enhancements agreed on during the project.

During the 18 Month Project, Thompsons maintained a site presence 24/7 for 365 days a year apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Easter to ensure timely completion of the project!
