Thompsons Apprentice Shines at SKillELECTRIC

Thompson Building Services Engineers is proud to celebrate the success of third-year Electrical Apprentice Billy Coxhead, 19, from Leyland, who was named runner-up at the SkillELECTRIC National Qualifying Heat held at JTL Preston Training Centre.

SkillELECTRIC is one of the UK’s leading competitions for electrical apprentices and learners, giving competitors the opportunity to showcase their practical ability, technical knowledge and professionalism within the electrotechnical industry.

During the competition, Billy took part in a series of challenging practical tasks designed to test the skills, accuracy and confidence required of future electrical professionals. His runner-up result is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, commitment and positive attitude he continues to show throughout his apprenticeship.

Stuart Thompson Managing Director said:

“As we celebrate 80 years in business, achievements like this are a reminder that our future is being shaped by talented young people coming through the industry. Supporting apprentices has always been an important part of who we are, and Billy’s success reflects the values we continue to stand for: quality, teamwork, professionalism and pride in doing the job properly.”
